The Department of Physics and Astronomy offers an on-line application system for admission to the department through the Faculty of Graduate Studies, which is the administrative unit must approve all candidates before they receive a graduate degree.
Please follow the instructions carefully and ensure that all supporting documents are uploaded and received by the department as requested. Applications without all required documentation are considered incomplete and not available for review by the department.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to contact potential supervisors as all graduate students are expected to perform independent research (under the guidance of a departmental faculty member) as a core part of their degree requirements. To find out more about the research going on in the department, please visit the Research page. See the Directory of People for a list of faculty with links to their homepages.
Application forms and supporting documents are due: January 15 for September admission.
Students who apply by this deadline will be fully considered for scholarships, fellowships, and bursaries. When required, please make sure to complete appropriate applications for the scholarships, fellowships, and bursaries.
