Submitted by hamorris on Mon, 08/09/2010 - 2:08pm.

Physics Education Development is a community of scholars dedicated to improving and enhancing learning effectiveness for students of physics or astronomy.

The group involves graduate students, post-doctoral research associates, and faculty members in projects ranging from:

  • Constructing web-based sundials for use by high school and university students and teachers
  • Developing and implementing improved learning paradigms for students in first year physics for non-physicist courses (our so-called labatorials)
  •  Investigating ways to more clearly communicate more advanced physics concepts to students majoring in physics.

Please feel free to contact us should you wish additional information on any of our initiatives.
