Physics Education Development

Physics Education Development is a community of scholars dedicated to improving and enhancing learning effectiveness for students of physics or astronomy. The group involves graduate students, post-doctoral research associates, and faculty members in projects ranging from:
  • Constructing web-based sundials for use by high school and university students and teachers
  • Developing and implementing improved learning paradigms for students in first year physics for non-physicist courses (our so-called labatorials)
  • ¬†Investigating ways to more clearly communicate more advanced physics concepts to students majoring in physics.
