In Memoriam

Hugo passed away suddenly while hiking with friends in the Foothills near Black Diamond, AB on Easter Sunday, April 24, 2001 at the age of 50 years. Hugo was an awesome uncle and brother. He loved nothing more than hanging out with his family, skiing, going to the park and playing rockband. Hugo worked at the University of Calgary for many years designing and setting up physics experiments and sharing his love of science with others. He was a dedicated hiker, enthusiastic downhill skier and an avid reader and collector of science fiction novels. He will be missed by many colleagues, students, good friends and everyone in our Department. He touched all of us.
