Graduate students at the University of Calgary must pay general fees and tuition fees each year. For a detailed breakdown of general and tuition fees, please consult the Tuition and Fees page on the Faculty of Graduate studies Website.
Students admitted to a thesis-based MSc program on the basis of a four-year undergraduate degree must pay program fees for the first year, and continuing fees for each subsequent year in program. Students admitted to a thesis-based PhD program on the basis of a MSc degree must pay program fees for the first two years, and continuing fees for each subsequent year in program. Students admitted to a course-based MSc program must pay fees on a per-course basis.
General fees amount to approximately $1600.00. These fees include health and dental insurance, thesis levy, campus recreation fee, etc. and are paid each year.
All international students are required to pay a "international student differential tuition fee" in addition to the regular tuition fee for the University of Calgary.
On-campus housing is available for single students, and for married students. Off-campus housing lists are available from the U of C Students Union. City newspapers also include listing of available rental housing.
